Cons: Will be very confusing for non-literary types, and those lacking patience.
Bottom Line: One of the more amazing books I've ever read. The amount of research here is staggering. Not for the timid reader.

Bottom Line: Possession engages the mind as forcefully as it confronts the book-lover with sensations of curiosity, excitement, and eternal thirst for knowledge. Oh, and it's a pretty good story too!

Pros: Contains some wry observations on modern academic life
Cons: This book is tedious, self-important, dull, contrived and heavy handed
Bottom Line: A neat pastiche of bad writing does not good writing make. As a novel, this is weak, as a poetry collections it's worse and as a hybrid it's forced. Avoid.
