Cons: Fitzgerald practically ignores World War One.
Bottom Line: Fitzgerald examines the glory and the ultimate demise of youth. A brilliant coming of age story.

Pros: Chapter five is excellent.
Shows how much F. Scott Fitzgerald truly developed as a novelist.
Cons: The work is schmaltzy, conceited, and boring.
Amory Blaine is repulsive.
Bottom Line: I'd recommend this work only for the devoted Fitzgerald fan who simply must read every work by this author.
